Best Western Plus Eastgate Inn & Suites

My husband and I stay here fairly often for doctors’ appointments. Judy at the front desk is great, very nice and helpful with anything we need. The breakfast attendant was a different story. She was extremely rude and didn’t act like the kind of employee Best Western requires. She rudely kicked us out of the breakfast area so she could mop, even though it wasn’t much past 9:00. Other things have happened with other guests too. Very disappointing.

I had a pretty good stay and would rate it five stars. Check-in on my first night was tough because the person working the night shift gave me a hard time. The next day Judy helped me feel better about it and let me check out 20 minutes late without an extra fee because of what happened.

I was staying at the hotel and using the free breakfast, but I felt openly profiled and watched. I overheard the woman working that area tell a coworker she was watching to see where I was going. Later she suggested that, because I was in pajamas, she thought I was homeless and didn’t belong there. When I confronted her about the rude treatment and assumptions, she didn’t apologize at all. Being treated like I was trespassing as a paying guest, especially for wearing pajamas in a place where people sleep, was absurd. It was discriminatory and completely unprofessional. I won’t be back.

Our company work truck was broken into last night. Management wouldn’t let us check the cameras without police involvement, even though we’d already contacted police and they wouldn’t come. If you’re staying here with anything valuable in your car, I’d say leave it behind or stay somewhere else. They also tried to silence us when we warned other guests to check their cars because they didn’t want a bad reputation. Break-ins in the parking lot will hurt their reputation more than anything I could say.
