Bolero Resort

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend in the luxury king suite, and the gym was right above us. Every day and night we heard weights dropping overhead, and woke up to the same noise. The walls were so thin we could also hear phone calls, kids yelling outside, cars driving by, and police sirens. For a quiet getaway, this is definitely NOT the hotel for you. SUPER LOUD AND NOISY. The room was clean, but the shower wasn't good. The water pressure was so weak that it felt more like being rinsed off than taking a shower. The shower soap was bad too, so we didn't wash our hair.

Jimmy was the best bartender in Wildwood! We wanted him the whole time, and he helped us get around Wildwood and gave us great recommendations. The tiki bar was my favorite. You can order food at the outdoor bar, and everything we tried was amazing, especially the crab cocktail. I ordered so many. The front desk guys were really friendly, housekeeping was good, and the hotel had everything we needed. The walk to the boardwalk was short, and the location was great for the air show. The outdoor pool was 10/10; the upstairs pool was 8/10, though it got way too hot up there one day. At the indoor restaurant, I walked out once because nobody greeted me and went across the street to the Irish bar instead. We'll make this an annual trip. See y'all in a year!

The pool and bar were great, with a deeper pool and a separate shallow one for little kids. The water was warm and the pool was clean. Rooms had modern furniture, the flooring was in good shape, and both the AC and hot water worked really well. The staff were kind and quick to help with our requests. I stayed seven days in August 2025 and would come back. It was about what I'd expect from a beach motel, and the room mostly matched the website. If you book a kitchenette, the cooktop and dishes may be usable, but the cookware in our room wasn't, so bring a pot and pan if you need them. The bath towels and linens had worn out and felt like sandpaper. The room could have used more cleaning too, especially in the bathroom, on the windowsills, floors, and in the corners.

The room was comfortable enough, and I'd come back, but it doesn't feel like a four-star place. You can hear toilet flushes, conversations, and footsteps in the hall from other rooms because the walls are paper thin. Finding hair in my room was nasty. Apart from that, it was okay.
