Buttercup Suites

The location was amazing, and the beds were comfortable. The suite was roomy enough for us and smelled very clean when we arrived. The front desk man at the Aztec was wonderful, too. Getting a phone number so I could talk to someone before our last-minute Wildwood trip was really difficult, though. A few things didn’t work: the bedside lamp and the other room’s TV had no plug, and there was no remote. The couch bed was pretty springy, lol, and the fridge blocked the oven door so we couldn’t use it. Some of the furniture was a little outdated.

They even called to check that we were still coming, then stayed up to meet us when we arrived around 11pm. The people running this little efficiency motel were genuinely great, and the rooms were VERY clean. We were in cape May for one night and had a great experience. It has that old-school beach charm, too. Would totally recommend it.

The room was really cute, and the beds were comfy, though the sheets were thin. WiFi is much better than last year. Those dogs across the street are really annoying, but there’s nothing you can do about that, lol. It’s a nice, efficient place to stay by the beach.

The lobby worker has been a very nice, helpful gentleman, and the location is really nice. Our room was very clean when we arrived. I do recommend the place, but keep the price and lack of room service in mind. They aren’t offering room service because of the pandemic. I understand making exceptions for that, but for what I paid, there are no excuses. That’s why I can’t give it 5 stars. -CJ
