El Ray motel

We were a family of seven, with five kids, and had an amazing vacation. The couple running the motel are super sweet, accommodating, and clearly care about their business. The rooms were clean, the balcony view was awesome, and the pool was small but really fun. Just remember this is a MOTEL and you get what you pay for. Even so, it's a truly GREAT motel. We'll absolutely stay again in a heartbeat and can't wait for next year!

The room smelled strongly of old wood and humidity, and my daughter got sick from the dampness. Water came down from the broken lamp, and the curtains were moldy, dirty, and smelled bad. It was terrible. I'd say don't waste your time or money here.

The staff were extremely friendly and took care of the room daily, or checked whether we needed anything when they saw us; if we didn't, they'd leave it alone. My room was clean, though dated and with some issues. Having stayed at a few places in wildwood, this was nowhere near the worst. The location was awesome, near the big wildwood sign and one block from the boardwalk. Parking was very tight, and the shower had a pretty weak flow.

The staff were very nice, but the room was outdated and not very clean. The remote was broken, and there was leftover garbage and random stuff under the beds from previous guests. I bought my own cleaning supplies before staying or sleeping there. It was our first time in wildwood, so we didn't know the area or where the good places to stay were. Even though there were “NO SMOKING” signs everywhere, other guests smoked cigarettes and marijuana on their balconies, which upset us because we had toddlers.
