Extended Stay America Suites Wilmington New Centre Drive

The staff have been friendly and helpful whenever we’ve needed anything. Tracy, the manager, keeps things well run, and Dominique, Marquis, Asa, Bobby and the others are personable and willing to assist. New beds, mattresses and 4K televisions were recently installed in every room. We’ve been long-term guests for a while and are very pleased. The location feels safe and is close to shops and restaurants, with Wrightsville Beach about 15 minutes away. Smoking by guests is my main complaint. All rooms are non-smoking, and it’s addressed quickly when reported. There are signs saying not to smoke within 100 feet of an entrance, though the whole property is within that distance. I understand it’s hard to control people smoking in the parking lot or in their cars, but the smell sometimes drifts into rooms or is noticeable on the way to an entrance.

When I got to my room, the trash cans were full and there was nothing else in the room. I went to the front desk looking for the coffee tray, but the person there only said they should have known better and apologized, without really helping. I’d already reserved and paid online with my Chime card, but at the hotel they said they needed the physical card and wouldn’t accept Chime. They had still taken the money from it. That policy should be stated on the website. I won’t stay here again.

Marquis gave us a great floor recommendation and took wonderful care of us. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. We’ll definitely come back.

This stay, from February 27th to March 8th, was A LOT better than my longer visit last year. The staff had changed and the vibe among the coworkers was better. What really stood out was that there were no roaches in the room after I cooked. Tracy definitely handled that for Extended Stay On New Center Drive Wilmington NC. I appreciate the stay and plan to come back later on down the line.
