Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Wilson

The room was good, though it felt tight around the beds near the A/C and closet. The bathroom could use some maintenance, but it did the job. Staff were nice and helpful. We’d stay again if we’re in the area.

We’ve stopped at Fairfield Inns throughout 20 years of travel, but this is one to avoid. We checked in around 5 p.m. and reported a leaking toilet. We wanted to move rooms, but the agent said to go to dinner and he’d hold another room if the leak was still there when we got back. It was still leaking, and then we were told there were no rooms available. He gave us a big pile of towels to put around the toilet. During our showers, water also came out of the shower, until the bathroom floor was hidden under towels. At breakfast, no one was available, and people were waiting for coffee from the absent morning server. We never got the Marriott survey we were expecting. I’m including photos of the room and hope someone at Marriott sees this and responds. Never again.

I felt safe here on my solo trip to see family, even walking back from supper at Cracker Barrel in the dark. The parking lot was brightly lit, and the hotel is only five minutes off the interstate. The bed was comfortable, and the place was quiet and clean. This was my second stay, and I’ll be back.

After my shower, I went to brush my teeth and the sink fell onto my leg. We asked reception for help. Since the manager wasn’t there, the attendant called the person responsible for that shift, but she didn’t seem to care. He didn’t ask whether I was hurt or okay. They just took a report form to the room with a handyman and started the repair work. I checked out and continued my trip. No one called to ask if I was injured or apologized. My wife and I had chosen this hotel to rest overnight while driving from New York back to our home in Orlando. This was a terrible experience on October 3, 2025. We were given a room for special people because nothing else was available. It smelled moldy, and there was no other room to move to, so we slept there.
