The heating worked consistently through winter, which was a plus. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the location is handy for getting quickly to ministries, shops, and supermarkets. The rooms for two or three people are extremely small and somewhat uncomfortable. Common areas are usually dirty, disorganized, and poorly maintained. The kitchen is filthy almost all the time, with food scraps around, and the dining areas are always dirty. Overall cleanliness is very poor. The bathrooms are a mess too, with overflowing bins, stained paper on the floor, dirty and moldy shower curtains, and unpleasant smells most of the time. Living with the other residents is difficult. They don’t respect quiet hours, so nights are noisy, and cigarette smoke is a constant problem throughout the residence.

There’s a lot of potential here, with big spaces, a gym, a movie theater, and common areas. But my experience was poor. People smoked in rooms and shared spaces and made noise into the early hours, despite the rules. Management didn’t do much about it, and the kitchen smelled pretty bad. The place also needs to be much cleaner.

Parents of young boys, don’t send your children here. This is NOT a university residence, and it’s not an environment for a healthy young person. There are about 100 people or more living together, and there’s everything from drug use to sexual harassment.

You get shared rooms with all services included for an affordable monthly fee, so it’s great value. The location is ideal, in a strategic part of Montevideo, with plenty of public transport, supermarkets, and other services nearby. Staff at each house were very friendly and listened to my suggestions. When I had an issue with noise or cleanliness, they dealt with it right away.

The rooms are filthy and the kitchen facilities are in terrible shape. It’s nothing like the pictures, and I don’t know how anyone lives like that. They call it a student residence, but most of the people there are older. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
