As-Salam Hotel

Comfortable rooms and an artistic look inside and out. Lovely hotel in a prime location. They also do laundry by weight.

Room #104 was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was good. The air conditioning worked. The room gets a lot of light, though, so you can't really sleep in darkness. The bed linen is small, as seems to be the case across Central Asia. There was quite a bit of noise from staff starting work, people rolling bags, and guests talking in the courtyard when coming back at night or early in the morning. Laundry costs 5usd per kilogram. The clothes weren't shaken out before being hung up, so some were very creased or still damp, and some shrank. I'm not sure what they wash them in. I'd stay again, though there are plenty of other nearby options too.

At around $50 a night, As-Salam Hotel offers a comfortable, well-maintained stay with attentive staff. Its convenient location also makes it easy to explore locally. I had a delightful visit and would recommend it if you're looking for good value without giving up service.

This family-run hotel had spacious rooms with everything you'd expect at this price. The owners were kind and friendly when we met them, and the receptionists were helpful too. Islam and the new receptionist, who was on his first day, both went out of their way to assist us.
