Grand Avenue Hotel

The room was spacious and comfortable, with fluffy towels, clean sheets, better pillows, and a smart TV with YouTube. I spent most of my last day relaxing there and was glad to have such a cozy space. Wi-Fi worked well all through the building, including the room. The bathroom was decent, though the water pressure was weak, as it was at most places I stayed in Uzbekistan, so showers took longer. My toilet seat was chipped and should be fixed. The water thankfully didn't smell off, unlike at my previous hotel, Hotel Uzbekistan. There’s no bidet. This is a modern, clean hotel on the main street, so taxis can find it easily. It’s around 20 to 25 minutes from Amir Timur Square, rather than in the city center, but there’s a large Korzinka supermarket next door and a great local restaurant right beside it, Lagmanchik No. 1. I highly recommend the lagman noodles and kebabs there. The staff were helpful and polite, spoke enough English, and honored my request for a quiet room on a higher floor with a nice street view. I booked at the last minute for my final night in Tashkent because I needed to be near the airport. After staying at Hotel Uzbekistan, this place felt like a breath of fresh air. My room was much bigger than my previous one and more comfortable. Breakfast runs from 7-10 AM. Go early if you want a choice: I went down around 8:30 AM and most dishes were already gone. It tasted good, simple but filling. I’d stay again if the location suited my plans or I had business nearby. It’s good value and felt comfortable and well run, especially for flying in or out of Tashkent.

The breakfast buffet was terrible, the food didn't taste good, and it was so crowded that I couldn't find a seat. I felt really uncomfortable and we left after one night. When we arrived, reception was hectic and we had to wait a long time, then pay before checking in, which we'd never experienced before. The room and bathroom smelled very unpleasant, and a socket was hanging out in the bathroom, which felt unhygienic. The staff, though, were very nice and friendly.

Grand Avenue hotel is the place to stay if you want a clean and convenient hotel. Everything was top notch, from reception to breakfast. Prices are affordable and the staff are very hospitable.

We were a group of 7, staying in three rooms. The apartment was a good place to stay before heading to the airport, about 15mins away.
