The staff were friendly, which is the one reason I gave a star, but they didn't seem to care about doing their jobs well. I wouldn't stay here again, even if you paid me. At check-in, our room had neither towels nor an AC remote. We asked more than three times before getting them. The comforter smelled as if it had been sprayed with Febreze; when I requested a fragrance-free one, they acted like they had changed it but hadn't. The linens and towels had huge holes, and when I pointed out the tears in our towels, nobody replaced them. I suspect the hotel's washing machines caused the damage, so we didn't use their laundry service. Breakfast was oily and unappetizing, so despite choosing a hotel that included it, we ate out every day. We stayed a few nights at the end of our Uzbekistan trip, after much better experiences at the same price in Bukhara and Samarkand. That's why I felt I had to leave a review.

The rooms were decent for a three-star hotel, and the price was good, but our three-day stay wasn't worth it. Mold in the bathrooms made it impossible for me to shower barefoot. The staff didn't even try to repair the broken toilet seat, and photos of the toilet brush say enough. We asked for it to be replaced, but nothing came of that either.

I asked the hotel to arrange a return trip to the Heliocomplex near Tashkent and was quoted $150. It felt like they assumed I was a clueless tourist they could overcharge. I used Yandex and booked a comfortable round trip in under five minutes for less than $50. The difference wasn't only about the money. I expected to be able to rely on and trust the staff at a hotel that presents itself as high-quality, but instead I felt plainly cheated. That was deeply disappointing and spoiled my impression of the stay. I don't recommend the hotel. Many things can be forgiven, but not dishonesty toward guests. The building itself looked decent, clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the experience left a very bitter taste.

The mattress is so hard you can feel every bone. The air conditioner makes an uneven, noisy sound and barely blows air, probably because it needs cleaning and is struggling against the airflow resistance. Breakfast was okay. Don't pay in foreign currency or exchange money here, since the rate is even worse than at the airport.

The room was spacious, clean, well maintained, and had accessories. The location was good, and the staff were great. Breakfast had a good range of options. Having a sauna, hammam, pool, and more made the stay relaxing and comfortable.
