Lay made us feel so welcome, like we were part of the family. Our kids played with hers in the evening and said it was one of the highlights of their trip. We were really grateful she turned what could have been a stressful situation into a highlight for us. We'd had our visas rejected at the Lao border while coming from Vietnam, and the guards suggested we return to Down Bien Phu to sort it out. Lay arranged a visa service to get new visas from Hanoi and helped book our onward transport. The rooms are basic but have what you need and are excellent value. We also really enjoyed the food at their restaurant. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

We hadn't booked anywhere when our bus from lao arrived, and the driver dropped us here. We were happy with the clean room and super-comfy beds. It slept five, with four single beds that were bigger than aussie singles, and cost just 300,000. They also booked us a bus to ninh binh. There was a mix-up, but they apologised several times and fixed it quickly. I'd stay here again.

The meals were a highlight for us, freshly made, tasty, and served in generous portions. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the friendly staff made dining pleasant. The staff were helpful with bus tickets and motorbike rentals, too. Duc Thang Guest House is within easy walking distance of key attractions in Dien Bien Phu, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept, a comfortable place to return to after sightseeing. It offers good value for money. Duc Thang Guest House also has an on-site restaurant with delicious food and a friendly team, making it a good option for travelers who value good meals and hospitality.

After our bus from Laos dropped us off, the owners looked after us. They kept our luggage for free, served us good food, booked our next bus, and arranged a taxi. The prices were very fair, and they didn't seem to be doing it for their own gain. Thanks a lot!

The room itself was fine, and our host was keen to help with things like arranging the bus to Hanoi. But she sold me a SIM card that only worked for a week, even though she charged me for a monthly plan. Staff at an official Vinaphone shop in Hanoi said it was an obvious scam card. I'd avoid booking anything through the woman who runs the hotel.
