Blue Hanoi Hotel

The hotel's location outside the old town suited us, as it was less manic, and cheap grabs made it easy to explore the city. Our room had no balcony and was at the back or side of the hotel, which probably made this the quietest place we stayed during five weeks in Vietnam. It felt like an oasis of calm in the city. The comfortable room was well equipped, with plenty of hot water, tea, coffee, a fridge, shampoo, and conditioner. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was interesting, with eggs or traditional options, fruit, yoghurt, juice, and coffee, all served at the table. The breakfast team gave great service. Definitely recommend.

We were really happy with our choice. The rooms were spotlessly clean with no odd smells, and the service was very nice. The location was great, a little outside the packed, touristy old town, with great food all around. We preferred picking up street food on the way instead of having breakfast, though breakfast service is generally included with the stay. We'd definitely recommend staying here when visiting Hanoi.

The staff made us feel welcome from the start. They were all friendly and smiling, and even though we don't speak Vietnamese, we managed to communicate with everyone. Seeing those smiles each morning was such a lovely way to start the day. We also loved how fresh breakfast was. There were two menu choices, cooked to order, and even the coffee was made fresh, which you don't always get. The whole place was spotless, just like we'd heard, from the entrance right up to the Japan restaurant on top. Our bedroom smelled amazing and felt so comforting that we stayed in bed until the last possible minute. It reminded us of sleeping at Mom's. A perfect place for the last few days of our Vietnam trip. Thank you!
