Hanoi Bella Rosa Hotel & Travel

After two weeks, this place felt like home. We’ve never had such an amazing trip or such a lovely experience with a hotel and its staff. We feel lucky we chose it, are grateful to everyone we met, and will definitely come back. ❤️ Every person working there made us feel cared for, with friendly, attentive, professional service. The hotel helped plan a couple of trips from Hanoi, and they went well. They also gladly looked after our suitcases, something we’d heard was often an issue for other tourists we met, so we didn’t have to drag our bags along on those trips. The breakfast was really good quality, with delicious fruit and a wide choice of other dishes. Each morning, you could also ask for pancakes, eggs, or even pho. We noticed two kinds of rooms. One side looks out onto the old quarter streets, with more noise, as you’d expect in the old quarter. We slept fine there. The other side faces the inside of another building and is good if you want more privacy, quiet, and rest. We got to try both because they upgraded our room when they had the chance, which was lovely of them.

Being right in the Old Quarter made getting around Hanoi really easy, so I’d definitely recommend it for a short visit. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout, answered all our questions, and made things simple. The restaurant team were great as well. A special mention to the lovely young woman at reception who wore glasses and spoke excellent English. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name.

The rooms were bright, clean, and a good size, and the breakfast was good too. Just a note that breakfast is served at the sister hotel two doors away. We got a warm welcome from everyone, and our first two nights came with an upgrade to a top floor room. We didn’t get that for the second booking because it wasn’t available, but it was a nice extra at the start. You reach that room by lift and then a narrow staircase, so keep that in mind if stairs are difficult. Streets are busy from about 5 am to midnight, though we slept through most of the noise. We left our bags overnight while we went to halong bay. With mobility issues, Vietnam may be challenging generally. I’d stay here again for a few days in hanoi. Great little hotel.

The included breakfast was quite good, and the staff were courteous and helpful. You’re right north of Hoan Kiem lake, with the night market and weekend market next door, beer street nearby, and the main roads not far away. It’s a busy, lively spot in the heart of Hanoi, close to pretty much everything.
