Hanoi Passion Suite Hotel

The only downside for us was light from the hall coming into the room at night. We pointed it out, so it may not be an issue now. Everything else was great, and well worth the money. Breakfast was brilliant and all you can eat. The beds were soft, the room was cleaned every day and smelled great, and the bathroom had a shower cubicle. Aircon and WiFi were fantastic. The staff were so friendly that we went on a free city tour and out for karaoke with them. Loved it here and would stay again.

We stayed here during a two-month trip around SE Asia, and it was one of the best hotels we visited. Mia, the owner, was lovely and so helpful. She even let us keep using our room well past checkout. It was spotlessly clean, with a daily clean and fresh towels. Breakfast had a lovely variety, all cooked by an in-house chef. She also sells her own fresh juices and smoothies, which were great. Thank you, Mia!

A friend booked two nights for me under my name and got the confirmation by email. When I arrived, though, they couldn’t find my name on the guest list. They said the booking request had gone to the junk folder, which was a surprising explanation I’d never heard before. They told me not to worry because they’d help find somewhere else. Staff at Hanoi Passion checked availability at nearby hotels and found one with fewer stars, but they didn’t rebook it for me. It felt like they just wanted to give me an address and send me on my way, so I insisted someone come with me. A girl from reception walked me to the nearby hotel, but that was the only help she gave. At Daisy Hanoi Hotel, I had to argue with the owner about the room. He showed me an option that cost more than the one at Hanoi Passion. After we argued, the owner of Hanoi Daisy offered a different room. I don’t recommend booking with Hanoi Passion because they couldn’t handle the situation. The location is also near the main road, so it isn’t very cosy. In my opinion, hostels in Hanoi are a better choice, since they’re cleaner and the staff are friendlier.

Everything was dirty, from the floors and towels to the bedsheets. There was hardly any shower gel left in the room, too. I can’t imagine the owner or anyone else wanting to stay somewhere in that condition. Avoid this hotel and choose a homestay or Airbnb instead.
