Reyna Hotel Hanoi

The air conditioner was very hard to control, and the room was too hot. Even calling a technician didn’t fix it. The quadcopter is poor. With this kind of controller in the room, it feels like there’s no oxygen at all.

The worst part was an encounter with the glasses-wearing male night staff member around 1:00 AM on the 22nd. He kept asking me rude, inappropriate questions, and it pushed my patience to the limit. I even got the feeling he was looking for a way to get money from me. Earlier, I’d emailed a request, but the reception staff kept saying the manager was off duty and wouldn’t take responsibility. Around 6:30 PM on the 21st, the staff member on the left side of reception when facing it was especially unhelpful and kept dodging the issue. For a hotel with this location and facilities, the staff conduct was shockingly unprofessional. I won’t come back.

We got in early after a long flight and asked about checking in ahead of time. They wanted to charge us the price of another full day, though in the end they let us in a little early without charging. We only stayed one night. It was passable, but the place smelled of smoke, the buffet was just okay, and the shower wasn’t good. The bath kept emptying itself.

They even kept my luggage safe after checkout while I waited for my late afternoon flight, and the staff really went out of their way to help during my stay. There was a drainage issue in the bathroom, but otherwise I had a good stay. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a budget-friendly place.
