Romantique Hotel De Hanoi

Breakfast was a highlight for us, with a nice range of Asian and Western food. The pho was especially good and a comforting way to start the day. We also appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were, particularly receptionist Jonathan. He suggested great local places to eat, helped us figure out the best times to visit attractions, shared interesting things about Old Hanoi’s history, and became our favorite smoking companion during evening chats. The hotel has an elegant but cozy feel, with a charming European character that reminded us of a boutique hotel we stayed at in Paris. It’s tucked away enough to be peaceful, without constant motorbike noise and car horns, yet everything we wanted to see, eat, and do at night was just a short walk away in the Old Quarter. The stay made our Hanoi trip memorable. It’s our go-to when we come back, and we’re already looking forward to another visit. Thanks to the whole team for taking such warm care of us.

The best thing here is the central location, with plenty of spas, restaurants, and shops a short walk away. I stayed twice, at the end of December 2025 and again in January 2026. The reception staff were courteous and keen to help with information. The rooms were clean, but quite small, as is common in the Old Quarter, and the tiny windows meant there was little of a view. Basic amenities were there. There’s just one lift, which can be inconvenient when it’s busy, and the complimentary breakfast had limited choices. Having tried other Old Quarter hotels, I thought breakfast could have been better. It’s an average hotel overall. The location is excellent, but next time I’d probably look for better options nearby.

The people here are what make the hotel shine. On arrival, the team couldn’t have done more, carrying our bags and welcoming us with lovely smiles and sweet gestures. Tam went out of her way, along with the two guys behind the desk. The next day I came back from a trip feeling very sick, and the staff brought me hot ginger tea with honey. That was amazing service. I really can’t recommend them enough. They go above and beyond and deserve to be acknowledged. Thanks so much for such an amazing time, from the bottom of our hearts. Xxx

This was our last stop in Vietnam, and we’ll miss it. The room was just right, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed, and the location was great. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Reception even printed all the documents we needed for onward travel. The care was clear from the moment the doormen welcomed us at the door. A special mention to receptionist Alex and the two doormen, whose names we unfortunately didn’t catch. They greeted us with a smile every time we left and came back. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
