Brown Dot Hotel Saigon Airport

The service was good and they responded promptly, and the price felt like good value apart from the issues I had. The bathroom gave off a terrible smell after each shower or toilet flush, which I suspect may be related to missing P-trap plumbing. It would seep into the room from time to time. I could also hear the TV from a room one floor above, so sound insulation between rooms was poor. There was construction across the street during my stay, which isn't really the hotel's fault, though the windows could block noise better. The hotel is near the airport, but getting to the central districts is inconvenient. I don't hold the location against them, since you get what you pay for.

I'm Deaf, and I would have appreciated a prompt email reply about changing the date and any associated charges. I also messaged on WhatsApp to ask whether food could be brought to my room, but got no response there either. WhatsApp is easier for me to use.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, with very few choices. I was hoping for some Vietnamese dishes as a tourist, though the place is fairly new and may be able to improve that. I only stayed a few hours to freshen up after a long flight, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. It was easy to find and fairly near the airport, with lots of small places to eat around it. The room was on the small side, but very clean, with a super-comfy bed and good-quality toiletries. I'd stay again.

The room had no window, even though we booked the deluxe. The air conditioner initially let us choose a setting, but after a while it kept resetting to 17 Celsius regardless, blowing straight at the bed and making the room freezing. We had to turn it off, then the room got hot. We left early and couldn't have breakfast, but when we asked, they wouldn't reduce the price. There's very little around the hotel, and despite what we expected, it's at least a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport, possibly longer with the crazy traffic. I wouldn't recommend it.
