Citi Home

By morning I found the door could swing wide open with only a small pull. The lock was useless; you didn't need a key. I also had a separate problem with the bill: I'd agreed by phone to pay 400.000 VND if I checked out by 6pm, but I got carried away and stayed until 9pm. The extra charge was 200.000 VND. That part was my fault, though I think they should have called to warn us at 6pm, as most people would. The noise was the bigger problem. As soon as I turned on the air-con, it was outrageously loud. The landlady was nice and the room seemed OK at first, but when I asked to switch rooms, she said none were available. It was dark and I'd already paid, so I felt stuck. Then the water pumper right above us joined in, making a mind-drilling racket with the air-con. The noise didn't stop as long as the air-con was running. I'd picked this place after reading all the good reviews. If you want to experience it for yourself, give room 300's door a little push. It'll swing right open.

My room had been given to someone else when I arrived, even though I'd booked for one night. I spent the next two hours cycling around trying to find somewhere else. Not happy.

The staff were nice and the Wi-Fi was good. The rooms were a little dirty, and honestly the breakfast wasn't that good.

I'd recommend booking one of the balcony rooms.
