Hanz T68 Hotel Go Vap

Extremely rude, unhelpful staff. My booking clearly said 9am, but the man insisted it was for 9pm and didn't even try to help. I don't recommend this hotel.

I chose this location because I needed to meet someone there, and I have no complaint about that part. The hotel's sanitation was really poor, though. For the first few days my room smelled like sewer, so I had to buy my own air freshener. People were allowed to smoke in rooms, hallways, and even the elevator. One night there was a big rat in the hallway that tried to chew its way into my room. I chased it away many times and didn't sleep at all. It was a very scary experience. I decided to cut my stay short and move to another hotel, then asked the manager for a refund for the nights I wasn't staying. They refused and said they could only move me to another room. I didn't think that would help, because the night before, when I opened my door, I'd seen that giant rat running down to the 4th floor.

On a beautiful afternoon on November 29, I was looking for a hotel in Go Vap for the night. Bad luck, everywhere I asked was full, even at 5pm. I quickly checked the Traveloka app and was lucky to find T68. The listing showed a 300k option for check-in after 9pm and a 500k option, so I chose the 500k room to book the whole day. When I arrived around 6pm to check in, they told me I had to check in after 9. I showed them the two options on Traveloka, but the staff said, rudely, that they follow the app's policy and that I'd booked the 9pm check-in option. An employee handed the phone to the owner, who gave the same answer and blamed the app. I wasn't satisfied, so I called Traveloka. Their staff told me T68's policy was check-in after 9pm. I was speechless, gave up, and concluded I was unlucky to pick this hotel. I was partly at fault too, for assuming all hotels allow check-in after 2pm. I hope you don't make the same choice as me and book here.

At check-in the staff had a contemptuous attitude, and the room was small and smelled bad. The Wi-Fi was weak too. I booked a full day through the app at twice the listed price, but while I was still asleep and before checkout time, staff called and told me to check out immediately. I've never encountered such a rude hotel before.
