The receptionist refused to check me in because she didn't like the discounted rate I'd booked through the app, even though I confirmed the reservation there. She claimed the app was a scam, despite its listed phone numbers and property contacts working and the booking being legitimate. Then she turned around a sign showing much higher room prices and said those were the “right” rates. I would have left without making a fuss, but I panicked because the hotel had required a credit card for the booking and I was worried it had already been charged. I was visibly upset, and that seemed to make her behave even worse. I should have checked the recent negative reviews first. If they admit they lied, acknowledge that they should have let me book at the rate I found, and apologize, I'll remove this review. Until then, I'd avoid the place because of how unprofessional they were.
