The Umi Hotel

The busy street outside didn't bother me much because my room was at the back, where it was quieter. The hotel itself feels fairly new, though the building is narrow. I was traveling solo on a budget and wanted to stay near the center. It was a short walk to places like Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum, which suited me since I spent the day out and came back to sleep. My small room was just right for one person, with a queen-size bed, its own T&B, and the basics you'd expect at a budget hotel. The price was great, especially since the other nearby options felt older or less appealing to me.

We stayed here on our Vietnam trip, and it suited us since we spent most of our time out and mainly needed somewhere to sleep. It was very affordable, and they also provide free water. There's a rooftop area that's a relaxing spot to hang out.

For the money, this was absolutely worth it. I enjoyed my three-night stay, and the two girls at Reception were very polite and helpful. I'd stay here again if I get the chance to visit Ho Chi Minh City.

Great value for money, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is handy for getting to markets and attractions, while the modern, clean rooms and attentive, friendly staff made the stay feel welcoming. Umi Hotel is a gem in Ho Chi Minh City, and I'd highly recommend it for a comfortable stay.
