Bien Bac Hotel

The place was clean and spacious, and it's in a very good spot near the market. Breakfast after 8 was cold, with almost nothing left to choose from. Reception could be more welcoming, and unfortunately the staff didn't speak English. Guests were also very noisy in the corridors and restaurant.

The location was good, and the gym wasn't bad, but this hotel felt much nicer in the photos than it did in person. My family and I stayed for over a week and booked two rooms. Staff were mostly on the sofa looking at their phones, and when I said hello or thank you, they would just stare and seemed annoyed. They hardly smiled or acted friendly. I've never had that experience at a hotel before. The breakfast buffet had very little, and the breakfast staff were just as unwelcoming, like they didn't want to be there. The pool was closed and looked very small. Housekeeping and spa staff seemed friendlier. At checkout, they charged us over 300k dong for staining a pillow and towel, which seemed ridiculous for a stain. I was told this was one of the nicest hotels in the area, so I was incredibly disappointed. It doesn't seem anywhere close to four stars, and they really need to work on customer service. It felt like there was no service at all.

The gym was excellent, and the pool was okay. Breakfast was included and really good. The hotel was very nice and clean. It costs a bit much for this area, but generally felt worth it.

The room itself was nice, but everything else was lacking. For a four-star place, there wasn't even ice, and the bathroom had no hooks for clothes. Breakfast options were very limited. I broke a glass and was charged $5 USD for something worth $1.
