Thao Nguyen Homestay

It’s easy to walk to the boat station, shops, restaurants, bus station, and market from this great location in Phong Nha. Everything was super clean. Our room was large, with good air conditioning and a fridge. The Wi-Fi worked well, and we could open the windows in the afternoon when the sun was on the other side of the building. The lift was helpful with our luggage, and we used the pool every day. Breakfast was included, with a choice from the menu and a drink. The owners and staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They even made us breakfast a bit early when we headed to the cave at 7 am. They offer tours, but I couldn’t join one because I’m recovering from an injury. Some other guests told us the tour they booked through the guesthouse was really good. I’d definitely recommend this place and will come back.

Linh and his family were lovely and accommodating throughout our amazing stay. We rented a bike at a very reasonable price, and when we had a small problem with it, Linh arranged a replacement within 10 minutes. He also sent us lots of fun tour suggestions to help us plan our time in Phong Nha. The rooms are simple but spacious and have everything you need. Breakfast was lovely too, and the location is 10/10. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you, Linh and family :)

The pool was huge, breakfast had lots of choices, and every option we tried was delicious. Our room was sparkling clean, and Linh was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave us ideas for what to do each day and arranged a motorcycle for us. We had a wonderful stay, and their dog Bon Bon is super cute. Can’t recommend the place enough.

The area has lots of restaurants, and the pool area was relaxing. This friendly, family-run homestay made for an amazing stay. The rooms were well soundproofed and had Netflix, and the breakfasts were tasty. The host was very helpful and can arrange different kinds of tours. We ended up taking the DMZ tour on the way to our next stay in Hue.
