The ladies at reception are cheerful and helpful, and there's a nice pool. Parking felt safe, and the place is clean and well located. We enjoy staying here when we travel to Strand Cape Town, and I'd definitely recommend it.
The service wasn't bad when we stayed here a while ago, but the accommodation didn't match what was advertised. Online complaints still hadn't been dealt with, and one of the rooms still wouldn't lock. The parking felt very unsafe, and with the area not being the safest, street parking isn't an option. The whole place smelled of smoke, and most rooms had a shower over the bath. For the price, it just wasn't worth it.
The stay was nice in general, but our TV didn't work for half the night. I went to speak to the woman on duty first thing in the morning, and nobody came to help us. We also couldn't use the pool after 20h00, and because I'm a smoker I couldn't go outside to smoke once the door was locked.
The honeymoon suite made for a memorable night, and the lodge facilities were beautiful. Our host was friendly and well organised. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return as often as we can. Thank you!
Bloody bad service. I went there for my birthday, but couldn't even talk with my friends. We couldn't enjoy the Jacuzzi as advertised, and then I got accused of stealing a bloody charger. The staff were plain rude, and so was the owner. I'm very unhappy and will never book at this lodge again. Never again, not in a million years.
