My friend and I stayed two nights and felt welcomed and well looked after at this quaint little guest house. It’s only minutes from the entrance to Addo Elephant National Park. They kindly packed us breakfast to take along the next morning since we had to leave before 7AM, which we really appreciated. Sundune Guest house is also within walking distance of the only restaurant in town, A Taste of Africa. Get the steak fillet with garlic sauce and a Greek salad, you won’t regret it!

We had the large upstairs apartment, looking out over the garden, river, and dunes. The bedroom at the back was completely quiet, with no noise from the N2 or the gas station. The apartment had everything we needed, including a microwave for food from Spar. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was generous and thoughtfully prepared, with fresh fruit like strawberries and blueberries. Sundune worked well for our two nights while visiting Addo Elephant National Park. It’s right on the river, with dunes across from it, and just 3 km from the Addo South Gate. The restaurant nearby was the only one around, but we skipped it after reading reviews that mentioned food poisoning. We picked up freshly cooked food at the Spar next door instead. The gas station is next door too, so there’s a fair bit of traffic, though that didn’t disturb us. We also enjoyed a walk by the water in the afternoon. Everything suited us, and we’d definitely come back. Thanks so much.

Everyone should take note of the excellent service. Have you ever seen hotel staff overcharge you on the spot? Hahaha 🤣 I’ve already put 30 lamps on in the courtyard.
