Beside Still Waters Boutique Hotel

I had a long, unpleasant argument with two people I took to be the managers, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel while they're there. The owner should find someone trained in hospitality management and guest relations. I arrived to collect a family member, but a car was blocking the driveway. One of the two men told me to park across the road. I asked why the car ahead couldn't move into the empty bay beside it. The man said it couldn't because it belonged to the restaurant manager. I replied that this didn't affect me, but he got an attitude and insisted the car couldn't be moved. He then told me to use a public grass embankment and claimed it was their property. I said it was public and had no signage. The vehicle's owner came over, and I explained I had to collect family at the top of the steep hill on the property. She backed the man up and said I had to move or she'd call security. After we went back and forth, I told her to call them. The man then offered to carry the luggage. I agreed and asked him to go, but he stood there and told me to move the car first. I initially stayed by my door, then got into the driver's seat and told him he could go help with the luggage. He didn't. A lot was said while I waited and afterward. The owner may want to hear about guests' experiences.

The rooms and beds were nice and comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner setup was nice too. Breakfast came with our booking, but coffee didn't, so we had to pay for it separately.

Communication needs to improve. The gate was open and security wasn't there when I came in, then he rudely questioned how I'd got inside and complained that I was parking there. I went to Gatvol Coffee. If the intention is to allow hotel guests only to park, put up a sign saying so. Come on, guys, do better.

The rooms are spacious, but I had trouble sleeping because, at night, someone above my ground-floor room dragged things across the floor and jumped around. It sounded like they were exercising. My car got covered in bird droppings each morning. I washed it and moved it to a spot without trees, but the next morning a female Indian lady who might be the owner started talking nonsense about where I'd parked. The gate remote only worked on Monday, my first day. From Tuesday through Friday, I had to wait for the team to open the gate. I reported the key to the arrival staff, but nothing was done.
