It’s a five-minute walk to the main road, where the shops and restaurants are, and the park in front is where hippos like to eat. We had an air conditioning problem, but the family running the place did their best and fixed it within a day. They offered us another room with air conditioning in the meantime, without making us move all our things. Breakfast was one of the best we had in South Africa, with cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea, bread and more. I’d recommend this place 1000%.

The staff were really nice, and the service was great. When we arrived, they gave us a restaurant coupon and a brief introduction to Saint Lucia. The food was okay, though I’ve had better. The location is also great, no more than a five-minute walk to the center and its restaurants. But I really didn’t like the room. The floor was filthy, the bathroom was tiny with no space, and there was a strange smell. Luckily, I wasn’t there much. It’s a good hotel apart from the room, which was NOT nice.

The artwork was mesmerizing, and breakfast was fantastic with choices to suit everyone. It’s a beautiful, welcoming home and definitely a top-notch place to stay in St Lucia.

We enjoyed breakfast, including the gluten-free choices, and found the rooms very clean, with air conditioning and a fan. The bed was okay. The guest house has all the facilities you need, and its location is handy, close enough to walk to the main road and its restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helped us with everything, including arranging safaris. They went the extra mile to make us feel at home and safe among all the hippos. There are hippos to watch in the park beside the guesthouse, and if you’re lucky, even leopards. Recommended!

Hippos and wild pigs were right on our doorstep every day! The guesthouse is in central St Lucia, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The service and hospitality were the best, and the daily breakfast was a lovely start to the day. They even went out of their way to cater for our 18-month-old son. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back.
