River City Inn

The staff tried their best, but the bathroom was filthy, especially the shower. The lodge is above a Spur and the noise was bad. It's the dirtiest place I've ever slept. I wouldn't stay again.

The security guard kindly walked me over to The Oasis, and I really appreciated it. I was given a room there, too. Thank you, the staff were amazing.

I felt comfortable and relaxed in my clean, welcoming room. The shower had hot water and there were always enough towels. At the front desk, the staff greeted me warmly, explained the processes clearly, and readily shared voucher information. The security guard was a very helpful gentleman as well.

River Inn is convenient for getting around Upington, with restaurants and key attractions nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are especially friendly and helpful, making guests feel at home from arrival. There’s no elevator, so wheelchair access can be difficult. Anyone with mobility concerns should ask ahead for a ground-floor room. Parking on the street may feel unusual if you're used to more secure arrangements in larger cities like Gauteng, though there's also a lot at a neighboring building that feels a little more secure. The atmosphere is charming and the service attentive. Despite those drawbacks, I had a positive stay and found it a relaxing place with a personal touch.
