For the price, the experience fell short. It felt overpriced, and the building was so noisy that we could hear other guests clearly and struggled to relax. The staff were friendly, though not especially helpful, and breakfast was below average. We expected a lot more for what we paid.

The kind, friendly, helpful staff made the whole stay for me, and Juan’s service has to be among the best in Patagonia. The room was new, clean, and ergonomic, the breakfast was well cooked, and the location was perfect. It exceeded my expectations, absolutely 10/10. Thank you!

The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the hikes we wanted to do, and our room was clean with everything we needed. My dad and I stayed a couple of nights and had a great time. Juan and his coworker, a woman whose name I didn’t catch, were really kind and tried to help however they could. Juan’s coworker made a delicious breakfast with breads, sweet cakes, juice, yogurt, omelette or fried eggs, coffee, and more. It was just right before a long day of hiking. I really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.

The standout for me was manager Juan. He bakes most of the breakfast breads and cakes, and the smell when he’s baking is heavenly. I left early to hike twice, and he made me a full breakfast to take along. One day after a long hike, he was making cinnamon rolls for fun and offered me one. He’s genuinely kind, thoughtful, and easy to reach if you need anything. The hotel is on the main road, with trailheads and lots of restaurants close by. My room was surprisingly quiet and well insulated, and I was never cold or woken by street noise. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. I also loved having a mini fridge for food, since I like to eat pizza on long hikes. Laborum pizzeria in El Chalten is a MUST! My one complaint, which I’ve seen from other guests too, is the half-glass shower. Water gets everywhere and the bathroom floods. It seems like a regular shower curtain would fix it, and I hope the owner makes that change. It’s a great boutique hotel, arguably in the best location.
