The setting is beautiful, with lovely scenery and quiet nights. We came at the end of the season, so there weren’t many guests or workers around. I wanted a romantic camping trip, and this place delivered that feeling. The grassy pitches were pristine, the shower area had marble floors, and the hand-carved gypsy caravans were amazing, especially the real "Django Reinhardt" caravan with its original furniture. We picnicked at an old park table among heirloom roses and trees. A special spot for jazz lovers or anyone after an unusual camping experience. The cafe has a quirky collection of art and antiques. It’s eccentric: no menus, irregular opening, and breakfast needs to be arranged in advance. Still, we had a lovely meal by the fireplace, surrounded by books, paintings, and antiques. Everything was delicious, including homemade jam and gluten-free rolls. It costs more than other campsites, the long list of rules really needs rewriting, and you need a chip to use the shower. Wifi only works in some areas, and they don’t accept cards. The owners initially seemed a bit standoffish, perhaps because we arrived later than they expected. Make sure to reserve or call ahead.

The place is undeniably beautiful, with lots of greenery and a very clean lake beside the centrally located campsite. The owner's daughter was very nice, but I can’t say the same about the owner. There are many strange rules, and the prices feel out of this world. Charging extra for showers seems like a bit much. We arrived the previous evening and had to leave by 11, so we were only there a short time. We asked the owner's daughter if we could park in front of the campsite, use the beach, and swim in the lake. She agreed and said we could stay until 12. Two minutes after noon, the owner came over red with anger and hurried us out of the campsite.

The rules were absurd. We had to leave our car outside the campsite so we could set off early for a hike, since the gate doesn’t open until 9 a.m. There was a completely blocked drain by the main gate, and I had to wade through more than 30 cm of water to get to the car. If you’re in a small tent with a car, rain is a real problem. There are no shared spaces or shelters, and the only covered area is the bar terrace, where they’ll make you leave if you aren’t buying something. Even people with big caravans might be more comfortable and rate the place higher, but I’d still urge them to think twice and support tent campers by not rewarding this treatment. This was by far the worst and most overpriced campsite we’ve stayed at. For the very high price, you get nothing extra, it’s no better than camping in a car park. They seem to care only about taking your money. It’s a complete rip-off, with no hospitality, no consideration for tent campers, and rules that make no sense. Stay away!

We asked to leave after an hour, but they refused to refund more than €50 of the €450 we had paid. This was expensive camping and not worth it. Check-in took over 30 minutes, and the owner was rude. They wrongly said we had confirmed our booking too late, even though we followed their instructions. We weren’t allowed to drive to our pitch to unload, while other cars were parked nearby. In the rain, there was no covered common area because the area marked as refurbished was being used for storage, even though the website and campsite map still showed a covered space. The covered terrace was supposedly for bar guests, but the bar wasn’t operating, so we couldn’t order anything. The website says it’s open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. While we were sitting with a child to pass the time in the rain, staff falsely accused us of cooking and drinking near the dishwashing area. They also took photos of us without consent. Very poor treatment and no hospitality. Not recommended.

We stayed in the Victorian-style wagons, at a beautiful place. We arrived an hour after check-in time and had to pay an extra 30 euros. It was raining that night, so we didn’t enjoy the morning as much.
