The Little Guesthouse Salzburg

Breakfast was really satisfying, with cold options, a freshly cooked soft-boiled egg, teas, and juices. I would have liked hot oatmeal on cooler mornings, but there was plenty to enjoy. All day, guests can get coffee, tea, and cake in the lounge and breakfast area, and free bicycles are provided. The house is peaceful and relaxed. Wi-Fi was steady with a strong signal, though only around 10 Mbps. My room had air-conditioning controls, but the cool September air from the balcony was enough, so I didn’t use them. I stayed four nights in September 2025 and picked this guesthouse for its quiet setting, small size, and reviews. It lived up to what I hoped for. The residential neighborhood is very peaceful, with a short walk to the nearest bus stop. The owner’s husband greeted me personally, checked me in smoothly, gave me useful Salzburg tips, and showed me to my room. Room #2, on the second floor, was cozy, with a lovely garden-facing balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable, with soft sheets and a comforter that was a little smaller than the bed. There were two comfortable chairs inside and two more on the balcony, a Dyson air purifier/fan, and plenty of storage. The bathroom was a good size, with a typical Austrian-style toilet and shower. It was a relaxing, welcoming place, and I’d choose The Little Guesthouse again next time I’m in Salzburg.

My stay at The Little Guesthouse Salzburg was one of my best experiences. The hosts were so kind, caring, and thoughtful. After I left, they even got in touch because I’d forgotten my toothbrush. They also let me leave my car parked for free after check-out so I could walk around the city. The place felt warm and genuine, and it was cozy, peaceful, and perfectly clean. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salzburg! 🌿✨

A lovely welcome, immaculate rooms and breakfast area, and a good breakfast with plenty of variety. It’s a small bed and breakfast within walking distance of Salzburg altstadt, with a pleasant riverside walk along the way.

We loved coming back to this charming house after a busy day. The daily breakfast was wonderful, and the amenities were lovely. Our hosts were welcoming and so helpful, from suggesting places to eat nearby to answering questions about taxis and travel. It’s just outside Old Town, an easy, beautiful 10-15 minute stroll into the heart of Salzburg. We highly recommend it!
