The pool was warm and clean, the staff were super friendly, and the hotel is right in the middle of Seefeld, with restaurants, shops and nature attractions all around. We travelled with a child, so the kids’ club and food mattered a lot. The club was so good that our child stayed from 9:00 until 21:00 and didn’t want to leave their new friends. Dinner was nicely served, with drinks included, and the half-board package also covered the lovely bakery, which had the best cakes. The one downside was parking: if you don’t get an outdoor spot and book a garage, you have to use a car lift. Great for kids and adults alike!

Our first little holiday with our three-month-old went so well, and we were glad we chose Das Kaltschmid for our four-night stay. There are activities for toddlers and older kids too, so we’re already thinking about coming back when our child is bigger. The pool and sauna area was lovely. Breakfast was good, though for a four-star hotel we expected more choice, such as fruit, cheese or pancakes. We’ve had more options at similar four-star places in Austria. Just a suggestion, not a complaint. On our last night, our baby got sick, and the night receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful. He called an ambulance to take the baby to the children’s hospital in Innsbruck and offered us something to drink while we waited. I’d like to thank him personally, though I don’t know his name. He was on the night shift on Saturday 13.09 and early Sunday 14.09. Highly recommend Das Kaltschmid.

The food was a huge highlight. Breakfast had so much variety that you could eat different dishes every day for a week, and the omelette was my favourite. Half-board included a starter, main, salad, dessert and drinks, and every afternoon you could also have a big slice of cake. The cakes were amazing. There’s a supermarket beside the hotel, and everything else downtown is no more than a five-minute walk away. Our stay was perfect. Staff were polite and helpful, and found solutions for all the many things we asked for. The pools were warm, clean and cosy, with a friendly atmosphere and entertainment for kids and adults. The outdoor pool with bubbles was great, and the pool bar was really nice. Our room had a very comfortable bed and enough space for two. I didn’t use the gym, but it looked well equipped, with more than one pair of dumbbells and a working-looking treadmill. I also didn’t use the kids’ area, but it’s a large room with lots of toys and a playground. I didn’t need accessibility features, but from what I could tell the hotel is accessible too.

Right in the middle of Seefeld, this is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and great food. It was a relaxing holiday, though the lack of air conditioning or fans in the bedrooms meant we couldn’t expect much sleep in hot weather.
