Sorrento Beach Bed & Breakfast

The bus is right by the front door, just four steps away, and you can walk to Hillarys in about 15 minutes if you feel like it. I had breakfast on the lovely little balcony, and the huge room was sparkling clean. The bed was comfy, the kitchenette was well set up with a coffee pod machine, and the bathroom was gorgeous, huge and fancy. I’m writing this from the luxurious spa bath. The host was amazing and friendly, and since I’m quite shy, I appreciated being able to text my requests. Thanks for making my midweek getaway feel so luxurious. I’d recommend it to a solo traveller who wants to be near the beach.

The house is well kept and close to the ocean, and our hostess made us feel very welcome. She prepared a plentiful breakfast that went beyond the usual, taking our gluten-free and dairy-free needs into account. The rooms were lovely, and the spa bath made for a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was comfortable for both me and my companion. Thank you for making us feel at home.

The hosts make the stay memorable, and it seems suited to either a short visit or a longer one. Breakfast is served in a leafy courtyard downstairs, with amazing choices. The private upstairs area has a large living space and access to a balcony. The bedrooms are very comfortable and stay cool. The king room suits a couple, and families can also book an extra twin room.

The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, but we left feeling hurt and unwelcome. The brief introduction felt dismissive, and at breakfast the next morning we got very little food or service. The menu and website pictures had set a different expectation, and nobody had asked us in advance what we wanted, even though breakfast was meant to have several options. It seemed like every effort to do something for us was a burden. This B&B was a present for my wife, and I’d read the very positive reviews beforehand. We’re genuine customers, not competitors. We’ve stayed at quite a few B&Bs and usually love the experience, and we give credit where it’s due. I wouldn’t risk your hard-earned money on staying here.
