I travel for work and stay in motels every week. If I’m in the area, I’ll call ahead and stay here. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to help. The restaurant is one of the best I’ve eaten in, too, and I’ll be back just for the steak. Best motel in the area.

The restaurant lived up to its reviews. We both ordered steak, and it was melt in your mouth quality, a real testament to local grass fed beef. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed, and surprisingly quiet despite being beside one of the main roads into town. We’re on night 7 of a short 12 day driving holiday, booking each night in advance. I found this place in my research yesterday and picked it for the restaurant. It’s not a brand new motel, and the history of the place and town goes beyond belief. Highly recommend it to a weary traveller after a good feed and a bed for the night.

It was quiet even though it’s on the highway, and the cleaners were lovely and friendly. The beds and shower/toilet were clean, but the whole place is run down and smelled of mould. We couldn’t get a meal in the restaurant, which was quite strange since it used to be so popular.

The manager (owner?) was very nice and welcoming, and the remodelling was good. But it removed the reason we’d booked: the website listed a microwave and food area in the room, plus a complex laundry. We chose it for the laundry and microwave. When I asked about the microwave, the manager installed one on the sideboard, but couldn’t help with the laundry. The restaurant food was nice, though not outstanding. The allocated parking bays aren’t wide enough for the work utes staying there, and the units need soundproofing between them. Not particularly happy.

I’ve stayed here for many years. The rooms are old now and could use an update, but they’re clean and the beds are comfortable. Don’t miss the restaurant. I can’t fault the food at dinner or breakfast, and the service is absolutely on point.
