Maison Jamaer

We skipped breakfast because we had a Belgian waffle class that morning. The kitchen is well stocked with drinks, though they're paid, as you'd expect. Our room was large, and the kids had a room of their own to rest and sleep after a day of travel. The bathroom was big and clean. It's just a few minutes from Midi train station, near a square with plenty of places to shop and eat, and close to the metro. You get used to the metro, and it shouldn't bother you. A great B&B, and I don't see why you'd stay in a hotel instead.

Marc was a very welcoming host, and the room was fantastic, with everything we needed. We had a lovely stay in this historic building, just a short walk from Brussels Midi station. Highly recommend!

The apartment worked really well as a base for Brussels, and having a kitchen made breakfast easy. The small issues didn’t spoil our trip, but the hallway had an unpleasant smell and was a little dusty, though the apartment itself didn’t smell. Bathroom water pressure was weak and the main shower was broken. Both bedrooms were noisy because of the train tracks, and the second room didn’t have a double bed. Thanks, Marc & Jean.

We were told before booking that the rooms at the back could hear the nearby railway, and it didn’t really affect our stay. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach, and getting on the Wi-Fi was no problem. The historic townhouse has been thoughtfully converted into rooms and suites. It’s an easy walk to Gare de Midi and Grand Place, and we’d happily book a suite again.
