Trakia Bed & Breakfast

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the B&B is good value, close to the metro and within walking distance of Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the city centre. The interior is an interesting, practical mix of Soviet and modern wood styles. A chance to live in real Sofia! :)

Don't count on the breakfast being much: I saw only bread and egg, so I ate elsewhere. My single room was unbearably hot, with no air conditioning, and it wasn't very clean; there were spiderwebs around the room. The photos can give the wrong impression. It's a four-room apartment on one floor, with a tiny entrance area and two tables where people eat breakfast. You can hear even whispers from the next room, so noise could make sleeping difficult.

The owner really impressed me, doing everything possible to help guests feel comfortable and at ease. The place itself is cozy and clean, and the location is so good it makes you want to stay longer. Great.

There’s plenty of hot water, and the owner is incredibly helpful. It’s clean and comfortable, in a lovely neighborhood with local shops and restaurants. The metro is nearby for getting farther afield. A great find!
