Dionis Hotel

The mattresses were old and uncomfortable, much too soft, and I could feel every spring pressing into my back. The lobby and rooms had a dull look and cheap furniture. The room wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom was filthy, with long black hairs on the tiles around the shower. In the morning there was no breakfast and no internet anywhere in the hotel. The parking area was small and full when we arrived, so we couldn’t use it. The staff were indifferent and couldn’t even manage a simple task like writing an invoice. The hotel is centrally located, but it’s a terrible choice for a holiday or a business trip. Don’t go there. You’d be better off in a tent or sleeping in your car.

I’m happy to say the old complaints about uncomfortable mattresses are out of date. Dionis was a great place to stay for a few nights when that’s all you need.

The rooms were very clean and warm, with a handy little fridge. The location is convenient too, close to the train station and main pedestrian street, and free parking is on site. It’s hard to beat the value. My only complaint is that the cleaning staff were very loud outside our door early in the morning.

There’s a supermarket nearby with lots of Pringles, and the station and a lift are less than five minutes away. My only issue was finding a power socket, since it was only under the table. I used a chair to set my gadgets on while charging, but it was still too far and they fell a few times.
