The location in Ponta Negra is genuinely great, close to squares, laundries, and the shopping and tourist center. The price is good, but the place itself is tiny and furnished mainly for sleeping. The kitchen and laundry are shared, and the laundry has only a small wash tub, no machine. It’s not the most organized place either. There’s no intercom or doorbell, so if a package from the post or Amazon arrives, you’re relying on luck.

I’ve never lived somewhere worse. The owner may seem friendly at first, but I’ve never felt so humiliated anywhere I’ve lived. The room is extremely cramped, and the shared kitchen can barely fit one person. Its utensils and appliances are very old and broken. The front door lock keeps causing problems, and the washing machine is just a wash tub, so you have to wring out your clothes. Look around more. There are lots of guesthouses in Ponta Negra for about the same price, with more space and their own kitchens.
