Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge

The resort itself was welcoming, with fabulous views, clean rooms, and free archery plus other nice amenities. We had a fun couple of days there. The restaurant, though, was a real letdown. We waited close to an hour for the food and barely got any attention from the server. When it finally came, both dishes were bland and the portions were tiny for the prices. It may have been the blandest dinner I’ve ever had. Great place to stay, but a very disappointing meal.

We took a day to explore the island and stopped at the lodge for lunch and the views. I was surprised by how good the food was, especially for such reasonable prices. The staff were really friendly, and the seafood chowder was amazing. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly, probably the best seafood lunch of our trip. The patio views were breathtaking too.

Our camp host even lent us an adapter for our 30-amp RV, which we really appreciated since the site has 50-amp electrical. The place was clean and well maintained, quiet and friendly, with a lovely view across the waterway between Quadra and Campbell River. The layout was nice too.

The service was cheerful and helpful, and they made some excellent cocktails. I ended up eating at the restaurant almost every time once I found it. Their seafood soup was one of the best I’ve had, and the prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding and vegetables was just right. Even the horseradish had a good kick. The mussels came in a different, absolutely delicious sauce.
