Maple Leaf Motel

The place was so quiet, and I slept like a baby in clean sheets. The shower was refreshing, too. It’s a small, charming but outdated hotel right by the Canada border, with ample parking and very friendly staff. I got an actual key :) My room was a little suite with a kitchenette. The bathroom seemed newer than the rest, and I have no complaints. There’s no breakfast, but it’s easy to grab something at the grocery store. I’ll definitely go back.

The outside looked a bit off-putting in the dark, but it was definitely worth staying. The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, good-pressure shower, and very clean fridge and microwave. The decor is a little dated, though that didn’t bother me. There’s Wi-Fi in the rooms, and you can use streaming services on the Roku TV as well as satellite. Friendly staff and a great price for a 2-star motel.

The showers were great, hot and high-pressure, and our group of four never ran out of hot water. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with no traffic and very few other guests. The rooms are dated but clean. Bring your own pillow, and don’t expect a Holiday Inn experience. Hahaha, yes, that’s a pay phone in the parking lot. It’s a very good 2-star hotel, as long as you know what kind of place it is.

We stayed in both a regular room and a suite, and both were adequate. The regular room’s washroom looked more recently renovated than the suite’s. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was there with my wife and two kids, and they made sure we were well taken care of.
