Tschurtschenthaler Lodge

We came to Canada for a special trip for our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed with Brandy Monday through Friday. We were sorry to leave. The lodge is spacious, spotless, and has everything you could need, with spectacular views. Brandy looked after us so well, and she’s both a wonderful host and a fantastic cook. We loved Golden and the surrounding area, and Brandy had lots of advice on places to go and how to make the most of our stay. We liked Golden more than Banff. The only thing to know is that the bed is quite firm. I have painful joints, so I made it more comfortable with a spare quilt as a topper.

Brandy made a different breakfast each morning, and every one was amazing. She was so welcoming and friendly, too. Our room at the bright, colorful Tschurtschenthaler Lodge was spacious and clean, and the shared balcony has a fantastic mountain view. Highly recommended!

We spent three nights in the main house and another three in the apartment, The Carriage House, and enjoyed both. At the main house, Brandy cooked a different breakfast each morning for guests staying in rooms. At the apartment, she left enough breakfast supplies for our first morning, and we bought our own food after that. The kitchen had all the cooking utensils we needed, and towels and linens were provided. Both places were comfortable and clean, and good value for money. It’s a lovely lodge in a quiet spot about 6 Km south of downtown Golden, with spectacular mountain views and a great base for visiting places in the Rocky Mountains. Brandy is friendly, helpful, and a great chef. I highly recommend this B&B, and we’ll be back!

It’s a little outside Golden, but the quiet, beautiful views, and excellent breakfast make this lodge a top choice. We felt right at home in Brandy’s lovely place. She takes care of all the little details to make a stay comfortable and enjoyable.
