Super 8 by Wyndham Lake Country/Winfield Area Airport North

After a frustrating day of long delays and a late-night flight cancellation at Kelowna airport, I arrived without my bag, which had already been checked. The receptionist made the end of the day so much better. She arranged a 4am cab for my replacement early flight, brought a breakfast bag to my room since I’d miss breakfast, and even came back with toothpaste as well as the toothbrush I’d asked about. She insisted on bringing it up herself, though I’d offered to come to the office. I really appreciated how friendly and helpful she was.

I was generally satisfied. The hotel did what it could, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the simple breakfast was ready on time. The room didn’t hold its temperature, though I understand that’s due to the wood frame and poor insulation, not the hotel. The water in the in-room coffee machine was disgusting, and I don’t know who’s responsible for it. I couldn’t make tea.

I feel safe here, and the rate is reasonable. My room has been completely renovated, and the staff have gone above and beyond while I’m here for a week. I stayed three years ago too, and Elise was amazing then. The new staff are taking good care of me now. Elise, housekeeping, and the front desk are all angels. It’s clean and quiet!

Check-in was smooth, thanks to the friendly and helpful front desk staff, and the whole stay was pleasant. The room felt fresh with its new flooring and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had some nice options and was very good. Great service and value, and I’d definitely stay here again.
