The staff were all really friendly, and the location worked perfectly for our business meeting the next morning. Our room, though, was VERY small. There wasn’t even a nightstand on one side of the bed, just a cabinet with the mini fridge in it. I’m sure other rooms would have been better.

Firestone Grill is amazing, highly recommended. The hotel stay, though, was rough. There was construction and supplies everywhere, and during my three-week stay I was moved to another room without any warning. It took hours of shuffling to sort out. The carpets in the first room were visibly dirty and stained. I smiled and waved to the front desk staff dozens of times, but was acknowledged exactly three times. Most of the time I got a stern glare.

We couldn’t sleep because the AC units were dirty and made a loud grinding noise, like a bad ball bearing. We had to unplug ours, and then the room froze. Management should clean and service the units at least once a year, but hasn’t. There were layers of dirt inside. They must have known, since other guests have probably mentioned it, but they chose to ignore it. We won’t be back.

The pool and hot tub were disgusting and clearly weren’t being maintained. The hot tub had a film on top, the jets didn’t work, and it felt slimy. Both it and the pool were cracked and peeling. I nearly fell on the pool steps because they were so slippery. We arrived to check in for our wedding and learned the construction wasn’t finished and our room had been downgraded. My husband had to argue for the king bed and nice room we’d requested for our wedding. There were no curtains, only a strange film on the windows. The light fixture stayed on and wouldn’t work properly, and there was only one working bulb in the tiny, oddly laid out living space. When my husband asked about the other guests in our wedding block, he was told their rooms would be downgraded too. We had to ask the front desk attendant to call and warn our guests before they arrived. Every guest who stayed was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. It was embarrassing that we’d booked rooms for them here. My sister was put in a tiny “newly renovated” room with barely any space to move. They were told it was a king, but it was absolutely a queen. At checkout, the woman seemed confused and said they had the wrong room. It was embarrassing for our family and guests. The rooms have little space, and the washrooms and sinks are tiny, with no counter space. It seemed the renovations had made the rooms smaller to add more of them. This place is run down and NOT MAINTAINED.
