Aleeda Motel

We needed an affordable room at the last minute, and this motel worked perfectly. The double room was spacious, and the staff were friendly. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location worked well for catching the ferry, and parking was free. We had two comfortable double beds and an ensuite. Reception was very helpful, even suggesting a place to pick up food.

Our dog was welcome for an extra fee, and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room clean enough, but sleep was rough. A very bright light shines straight into the room and the curtains couldn’t block it. I thought things would be quiet since the nightclub used to be out back, but some people partied late, and a TV in the next room blared all night. The room wasn’t very refreshing to sleep in. With some renovations, this could be a nice hotel.

The staff are the reason I stay here. I love them, and they’re the hotel’s greatest asset, though they can’t speak up for fear of being fired. The owner treated me like a criminal, accusing me of damaging a fence that’s been bent for at least 20 years. She made false claims about the whole thing to get a fraudulent insurance claim, then admitted after a heated argument that she was wrong. I see the owner as a vindictive bully who targets people who won’t push back. Shame on the Aleeda hotel and its owner.
