The food was excellent and the service fantastic, but our wedding anniversary stay in the Executive suite was disappointing. We booked it for Saturday, March 21st. The tub was dirty, the bathroom counter hadn’t been wiped and had goo on it, only one of the ten bulbs in the chandeliers beside the bed worked, the clock was wrong, and the bedroom TV picture was fuzzy. The Front Office Supervisor understood when we checked out and reduced the rate by $150, but we didn’t feel that was enough given the experience.

The hotel and bar staff were friendly and made me feel welcome, and the pub is one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. I ate there every day for a week. The food was tasty with generous portions, though a bit pricey. The older hotel was still very nice and clean, with beautiful Indigenous art, right on the waterfront and a short walk from Cow bay. The views were amazing. The city water wasn’t drinkable, but they supplied as much bottled water as I wanted and had plans to install a treatment system soon. I’ll definitely come back to Rupert and stay here again.

The harbour view from my room was spectacular, and it was quiet with really comfortable beds. The location is central, though the room felt basic and a bit outdated for the price, in my opinion.

The waterfront view from the excellent restaurant was lovely, and our room was clean and nicely finished, with comfortable beds. Staff welcomed us warmly even though we’d driven straight from Vancouver to Prince Rupert and looked tired and a bit ragged. We stayed one night at the Crest Hotel on a fall road trip to Haida Gwaii. I’d stay again if I’m in Prince Rupert.
