The Wakefield Grand made a lovely base for the wedding we attended at the Belvedere on Oct. 16, with a Shuttle there from the hotel. It’s set in the wilderness near Ottawa, with a pond beside it, and we even spotted a deer from the window during breakfast. The building feels spacious and clean, and I loved the handmade stone sinks. Breakfast was included, fresh, and homemade, with delicious Chocolate Croissants and Berries from a friendly woman. Yannick was a great host, and the whole place had a warm, family feel. I’d strongly recommend this gem.

For our small wedding of 30 people in Fall of 2025, the natural beauty of the venue meant we didn’t have to do much to dress up the space. Guests kept telling us how polished but still comfortable everything felt. Chloe was a rock star as day coordinator, and the staff were friendly and professional. Yannick went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and prepared. The next morning’s breakfast was simple, delicious, and had a diverse menu. The fees were transparent, and communication and reliability were great. Choosing this place was the best decision we could have made.

Yannick and Joanne were attentive and flexible with what we needed, and the breakfast was delicious, a real help to more than one late riser. We wanted somewhere our friends and family could all stay for our wedding, and even the relatives who were unsure at first ended up blown away by the property. The rooms felt airy and comfortable, including the roomy bunk bed rooms. Everything looked new and was well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, and being close to Klimat, a gym and a restaurant, was handy. We’d happily recommend the house for a stay or an event.
