We came in late May, and it felt like good value. The view was lovely, and the room was clean with soft towels. Hot water took a bit to reach our second-floor room, and the walls are very thin. The internet was secure according to Norton 360.

The location was perfect, and Parks Canada deserves credit for the free Level 2 EV charger in the park. We stayed in Room 12 from May 17 to 19, 2026, after booking through Super.com. I’d requested ground level because my 85-year-old mother was with us, but that request wasn’t accommodated. Neither bed was comfortable, and most of us had back pain after the stay.

The staff were a real highlight, 10/10, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. You can walk to the town’s main spots from the Inn. The room has the basics, though it feels dated and a little creaky. The thin walls are the bigger issue: whether you get a quiet night seems to depend on your neighbors, since even mildly loud ones can be heard. If good sleep matters, I’d look for somewhere with better soundproofing.

The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and our room was very clean with comfortable beds. My husband and I stayed from Saturday through Monday and went hiking around the park. The views on our hikes were amazing. We’ll definitely come back.

We’d stayed at Aspen Village Inn for the Taste of Waterton for three years and always liked the Deluxe rooms. This time we booked again, but the room we found was nothing like the one we knew. Both Expedia and the hotel website still showed the old setup, and nobody told us about the changes before we arrived. We paid for a Deluxe experience and didn’t feel we got one. We don’t know what the other rooms are like, but we won’t return to Aspen after this. The new Deluxe is about the size of a standard hotel room, apparently one third of a cabin, with paper-thin walls shared with the other six-person side. There was no loveseat or sofa and no AC. Instead of a balcony with mountain views, there was a small cement patio about six feet from the street, with one outdoor chair. The bathroom was especially cramped. Its small, cheap vanity had a half-size, shallow sink and no counter space. A mirror ledge blocked half the sink, so you couldn’t lean over it to wash your face, and the toilet was squeezed against the tub, leaving your knees and feet jammed up when sitting. In past years, the Deluxe had a separate king bedroom, a large living area with a desk, sofa, kitchenette, fireplace and air conditioner, plus a large bathroom with a jetted tub and spacious vanity counter.
