Tru By Hilton Yarmouth

The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy. Our room was modern and clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. The TV, though, was dated, had limited choices, and kept disconnecting. I wish we'd known when booking that lots of events were happening at the hotel, so we could have stayed somewhere else on Valentine’s Day. It was very noisy, with groups running through the halls and lobby. That's happened both times we've stayed.

The lobby is a fun place to hang out, and there's lots of choice at breakfast. The pool was clean and stayed open for long hours. The hotel itself is very clean and feels new. Whenever we walked around, staff were cleaning and were friendly. The location is great, with a restaurant next door, the mall and movie theatre nearby, and downtown Yarmouth just a short drive away.

After three days, I'm still not impressed with the room quality. There was visible damage, messy wiring, and duct tape on an extension. I know it's more up to date, but come on. The TV kept lagging, so it was impossible to watch properly. At least the breakfast is nice.

The internet was the one real snag. Our devices lost connection several times a day, though reconnecting fixed it easily. Even with the hotel quite full, nights were completely quiet. The lobby has a lovely breakfast area with the usual choices, and they'll make something special for food restrictions. The breakfast attendant was terrific, and the pancake machine seemed to work by magic. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Every one of them seemed happy to work there and would go out of their way to chat, even on a break. The room looked small at first but had plenty of space. It was spotless, with a great bathroom, a glass and tile walk-in shower with a rain head, lovely white towels and bedding, wood laminate floors, wall hooks, and lots of charging outlets. The Not Soap Radio toiletries smelled amazing and suited the room. We loved the bright, cheerful decor, the gorgeous lobby, and all the fun touches, including swinging basket chairs. The hotel is beautiful and close to everything. It was the best place we stayed during our vacation. This was our first Tru hotel, though we've stayed at Hilton before, and we'd definitely look for other Tru hotels after this. If we come back to Yarmouth, we'd stay here again.
