ibis Geneve Centre Lac

Kevin at reception was welcoming and very helpful, a real credit to Ibis. The hotel was very clean, central for sightseeing and just a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was a bit poor for my husband, who is gluten free, as there wasn’t much choice for him. It’s in the middle of a red light district, but nobody bothered us and we didn’t feel unsafe. We’d definitely return and recommend it.

I got a comfort room and it was spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and a decent-sized bathroom with a big shower. The temperature was hard to keep steady, though. There was also a coffee machine, which was a big plus for me. I arrived early and the friendly staff accommodated me straight away. The train station is only a two-minute walk away, so the location is convenient. It’s in the red light area, but I didn’t notice noise during my stay over Thursday and Friday nights. Keycard access in the lifts and at the hotel entrance gave me peace of mind. I’d definitely return.

The lobby has plenty of seating, a bar, a breakfast room, and free coffee. Staff were pleasant and quick to help with any issues. We stayed one night in a room that was a little small for two, but it worked fine. The bathroom was roomy, with a large shower and a hair dryer on site, and the soft bed was comfortable. The room had AC and heating, though the window wouldn't open. It's a great spot right in central Geneva, and we enjoyed our stay.

We used it for a quick overnight stop before catching another train. The place was clean, nice enough, and reasonably priced, with a free coffee machine in the lobby. The station is only a three-minute walk away, which is handy. The area around the station isn't Geneva's prettiest, much like station areas in other cities, but it's a good place to stay for a night or two.
