Hôtel International & Terminus

The only part of the stay I liked was the woman at the front desk. She was polite and helpful, let us check in early, and put us in a room near public transport. The room itself was extremely small, with a tiny shower and a toilet cramped enough to feel made for a child. Its size and condition were more like a low-budget hostel than a hotel at this price. We paid £155, and breakfast wasn't included, which made the cost even harder to justify. The bed was uncomfortable, too, and I couldn't get a proper night's sleep. Good service at reception couldn't make up for the poor accommodation. This felt severely overpriced and misleading, and I'd strongly advise others not to book here.

The shower had amazing water pressure, which is rare in hotels where it's often awful. The location is great, basically right beside the train station. The staff were very polite, and the room was clean and well equipped. I can only recommend it!

At $265 a night, I expected better value. There weren't any bottled waters in the room, and when I asked, they told me to drink the tap water. Switzerland is very expensive compared with other European countries, and Europe is expensive compared with the USA.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a safe, mini fridge, and tea. I stayed two nights and was fine without air conditioning since I was out most of the day. There was a good electric fan, and I liked opening the windows for fresh air. For a short stay, it worked well and felt worth it.
